“According to Ayurveda, the human body is one of the most amazing creations of Mother Nature. It can heal and cure itself. Healing is a natural process that happens on its own. We just need to give it room to let it happen.”
According to Ayurveda, the human body consists of three constitutions called doshas: vata, pitta and kapha. We are each a unique mix of the three, but it is important that these are in harmony with each other. When our digestive fire (agni) is in balance, the three doshas are also balanced. Waste substances are created and excreted normally and the mind, senses and consciousness work together in harmony. When the balance in any of our internal systems is disturbed, the disease process begins. Basically, any dosha imbalance affects the digestive fire (agni) and creates toxins, called ama. Ama is created, for example, by poor digestion, inappropriate combination of foods, inappropriate drinking regime, polluted air, pesticides in food, emotional and physical stress or trauma. These toxins accumulate and dissolve in the body and are eventually stored in the deeper tissues, organs or canals where they cause dysfunction or disease.
During an illness, the individual doshas show specific symptoms that alert us to their disorders, e.g. headaches, convulsions, fever, rash, fatigue, arrhythmia, loss of appetite, allergies, insomnia, diarrhea or vomiting.

Ayurvedic therapies
Ayurvedic therapies are divided into internal and external. They are always mild to our body. They do not only focus on the symptoms, but they strengthen the body and soul, so that one begins to heal from within.
The concept of internal therapies uses drugs and food. Herbs, flowers, spices, fruits or peel are prepared and dosed individually depending on the constitution and condition of eachclient.Outdoor therapies include massages, herbal baths and more.
Below is a small selection of different therapies used in Ayurveda.
Abhyanga - whole body massage with healing oil. Oil and massage stimulate the sensory receptors and provide deep relaxation. Used oil helps the body eliminate toxins, provides it with nutrition and energy and slows down the aging process. This therapy has extremely healing effects on the whole organism.
Udwarthana - stimulating whole-body massage, which is performed using a powder composed of minerals and medicinal herbs. The massage is also known as Ayurvedic body scrub. This dry massage stimulates the metabolic process in the body. Thanks to the effect of herbal powders, it removes impurities from the skin and treats various pigment spots. It is beneficial for circulatory disorders, cellulite, overweight and obesity.
Pinda Sveda - an excellent full-body massage, which is performed using warm dumpling shaped bags filled with various medicinal mixtures or soaked in medicinal oil. These are applied all over the body. It is a special therapy that is especially effective for musculoskeletal pain - bones, joints and muscles, muscle stiffness and problems caused by inflammation and swelling. It has detoxifying properties, removes toxins through the skin pores and reduces the development of skin diseases, thus helping to improve the condition
of the skin.
Shirodhara - Ayurvedic healing therapy that brings deep relaxation of the nervous system thanks to the herbal oil being applied on the area of the third eye. Warm herbal oil flows with a thin stream from a special container on the forhead and third eye area. Shirodhara relieves anxiety, stress, cleanses the mind, expands consciousness and relieves headaches. It is useful in the treatment of insomnia, schizophrenia and epilepsy. Prevents hair loss, breakage and premature graying. Overall, it harmonizes the body and increases
immunity.
